About the MoT test

Your vehicle's MOT may be carried out within thirty days of the expiry date of your current certificate.

Computer generated MOT certificates automatically add any unexpired time from your current certificate so you do not lose any unexpired days.

The computerised system also takes into account a vehicles first MOT and adjusts the expiry date with the first registered date.

The MOT test relates only to the condition of the testable items at the time of the test. It should not be regarded as evidence of the condition of the items tested at any other time nor should it be taken as evidence of the general mechanical condition of the vehicle.
